Macmillan Cancer Support Fundraiser 2023

After our successful fundraising efforts in 2022, our Hammond & Stratford and Dragonfly Lettings teams stepped up once again to support the incredible cause that is Macmillan Cancer Support – a cause that touches the lives of many.

Our Macmillan coffee morning made a big comeback, topping last year's success with an even better event. We treated our local community and vendors to a delightful spread of baked goods and invited them to join us for coffee and cake. Queues formed at our Eaton branch, and we had to call in reinforcements from head office to keep the coffee flowing! We raised an impressive £130.20 from cake sales and £39 for wearing it green.We were lucky to receive generous donations totalling £244 from local companies, and a special shout-out goes to Habi Lettings and InVoke Digital Signage for their support.

Our enthusiastic teams embarked on an extraordinary 25km journey from our Attleborough branch to our branches in Hethersett, Cringleford, and Eaton. With well-deserved breaks and photos along the way – not to mention stocking up on Tesco's meal deals. The teams really went the extra mile, both literally and figuratively, raising a phenomenal £799 through our sponsored walk which you can watch here.

Our tombola ticket sales got a little competitive, as you'd expect in a sales-oriented environment. The head office team led the charge by selling their 1000 tickets first, closely followed by the Attleborough team. The Eaton team came in third place, selling out during their coffee morning and even selling Hethersett tickets over the phone, showing great initiative. The Hethersett team followed in fourth place, and our Dragonfly team gave it their all, coming in fifth. In total, the collective effort from ticket sales brought in an astonishing £937.The support from local businesses was truly amazing, with donations ranging from a signed Norwich City Football Shirt to a Samsung Tablet, luxurious hampers, and more. To celebrate our success and give away the prizes, we hosted our first live draw on social media, with Ben and Saffy as our fabulous hosts. The event was a hit, with viewers eagerly awaiting their chance to win some amazing prizes. The Norwich City Football Club shirt was a hot item, and the lucky winner was Jack from our Attleborough team, who was thrilled to claim it.
